Biography

 

Jarrod is a singer songwriter multi-instrumentalist. He has an expressive and note perfect voice, with a set of over one hundred covers and growing.

 

He has more than 20 years experience recording and touring, having played thousands of shows throughout Australia and other parts of the world.

 

He has written hundreds of songs and released albums as chief songwriter with the bands SMLXL, Major and Pelican Jed, and has contributed as lead guitarist and backing vocalist with The Cops.

 

The Cops had songs featured in Triple J Hottest 100s in 2006 with ‘Call Me Anytime’ coming in at 33, and 2007 with ‘The Message’ at 88. Played all the major festivals and toured extensively selling out venues across Australia.

 

Major received Triple J high rotation of a few songs through out the early 2000’s and both album releases received high acclaim within the power-pop world.

Jarrod is now performing shows featuring three long form sets of covers ranging from Crowded House to Billy Joel, The Beatles to Bowie, and more current artist like Ed Sherran to Jason Mraz.

 

His voice is melodic with personality and confidence, sounding like Neil Finn meets Paul McCartney.

 

Jarrod can handle all crowds and performance spaces, from intimate restaurants to pubs and beer gardens, engaging the audience with professionalism and charisma.

 

Jarrod is also available for functions such as corporate and weddings, and can add songs upon request and adjust his sets according to the venue and circumstance.

 

Jarrod has all the equipment to handle small venues and is self-sustainable in all regards, and all payments are negotiable with base rates of approx. $100/hr.
